1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Go Bike Project website (the "Site"), the Go Bike mobile app (the "App") and GoBot, our website assistant, and your participation in programs run by Padyarescue Incorporated ("PRI", "we", "us" or "our").

By using the Site or App, or by submitting a form, application or donation, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or App.

2. Who Can Use the Site and App

  • You must be at least 13 years old to submit forms on the Site or to create an App account.
  • If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or guardian has read these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf.
  • Volunteer applicants must be 13 to 25 years old. Applicants under 18 need the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • To donate, you must be at least 18 years old, or have your parent's or guardian's permission, and be authorized to use the payment method you choose.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site and App only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You must not:

  • give false or misleading information, or pretend to be another person or organization;
  • send spam or automated (bot) submissions, or otherwise misuse the contact, volunteer, training or donation forms;
  • try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, the App, our servers or databases, or other people's accounts;
  • interfere with the security or operation of the Site or App, including by introducing viruses or malicious code or by overloading our systems;
  • scrape, copy or collect data from the Site or App by automated means without our written permission;
  • use the Site, App or GoBot to harass, threaten, defame or harm anyone, or to send unlawful, hateful or obscene content;
  • use our name, logos or materials to suggest a partnership or endorsement that does not exist; or
  • use the Site or App in any way that breaks a law or regulation.

We may limit, suspend or block access for anyone who breaks these rules, and report illegal activity to the authorities.

4. App Accounts

If you create an App account:

  • keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your account;
  • give accurate information and keep it up to date; and
  • tell us immediately at gobike@pydn.org if you suspect that someone else is using your account.

GoBiker and administrator accounts are activated only after approval by PRI. We may suspend or close accounts that are inactive, misused, or no longer needed. You may ask us to close your account at any time.

5. Volunteering With the Go Bike Project

Submitting a volunteer application does not guarantee acceptance. We review every application and may ask for more information, an interview, or the completion of required trainings before you are accepted.

  • Voluntary service. Volunteering is unpaid and voluntary. It does not create an employment, agency or partnership relationship between you and PRI.
  • Training and limits. Complete the required trainings and act only within the level of training and certification you have received. GoBikers provide basic first aid and community support; they are not doctors and do not replace professional medical or emergency services.
  • Conduct and safety. Follow our code of conduct, the instructions of your team leaders, traffic laws and safety rules, including wearing a helmet and proper protective gear while riding.
  • Confidentiality. Keep confidential any personal or health information you learn while volunteering, and use it only for program purposes, as required by the Data Privacy Act. Do not copy it, post it on social media, or keep it on personal devices beyond what the App requires.
  • Risks. Cycling, field work and emergency response involve risks, including the risk of injury. You take part voluntarily and are responsible for making sure you are fit to do so. Any insurance coverage is limited to the specific program and terms communicated to you.
  • Ending participation. You may stop volunteering at any time. We may suspend or end a volunteer's participation for misconduct, safety concerns, or a breach of these Terms or our policies.

6. Location Sharing and Emergency Alerts

When a GoBiker starts an active duty session or sends an emergency alert, the App shares the device's location with PRI's coordinators so we can coordinate help and keep our volunteers safe.

  • Start a session only when you are on duty, and end it when you are done.
  • Use emergency alerts only for real emergencies. Misuse may lead to suspension.

7. Health Monitoring Is Not Medical Advice

Health readings taken by GoBikers, such as blood pressure or temperature, are for basic screening and health awareness only. They are not a medical diagnosis or treatment.

Always consult a qualified health professional about your health. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest health facility.

8. GoBot, Our AI Assistant

GoBot is an automated assistant powered by artificial intelligence.

  • Its answers are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not professional, medical, legal or financial advice, so please confirm important information with our team.
  • Do not share sensitive personal information in the chat, such as health details, ID numbers or passwords.
  • GoBot cannot respond to emergencies. If someone's life or health is at risk, call 911 or your local emergency hotline immediately.
  • We may limit how many messages can be sent, to keep the service available for everyone.

9. Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts that support PRI's programs.

  • Payment processing. Donations are processed by PayPal or PayMongo (GCash and online banking), and your payment is also subject to the provider's own terms. We do not receive or store your full card or e-wallet details.
  • Currency and fees. Donation amounts are shown in US dollars and, where applicable, converted to Philippine pesos at the rate shown during checkout. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rates or fees. Any platform fee is shown before you pay.
  • Monthly donations. Monthly donations are charged automatically every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time using the "Manage or cancel your monthly donation" link on your thank-you page, in your PayPal account, or by emailing gobike@pydn.org. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund earlier donations.
  • Refunds. Donations are final and non-refundable, except in the case of an error. If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or charged without your authorization, email gobike@pydn.org within 30 days of the transaction. We will review your request and refund confirmed errors to your original payment method.
  • Use of funds. Donations support our programs and operations. We may use any donation where it is most needed, unless we have agreed with you in writing to use it for a specific purpose.
  • Receipts and taxes. Your payment provider sends a receipt for each payment. Contact us if you need an acknowledgment from PRI. Whether your donation is tax-deductible depends on your situation and the applicable tax rules, so please consult a tax adviser.

10. Training Programs and Chapter Requests

Sending an inquiry to replicate the Go Bike Project, or a request for training, starts a conversation with our team. Schedules, inclusions and partnership details are confirmed with you in writing, for example in a memorandum of understanding, which prevails over these Terms for that engagement.

  • Training fee. The Go Biker's Training fee is ₱30,000 per class of up to 15 trainees, plus ₱2,000 for each additional trainee, as shown on our Replicate Go Bike page. A class with fewer than 15 trainees is charged the full class fee. Fees may change, but the fee shown when you pay applies to your payment.
  • Paying early online. You may pay the full training fee in advance through PayMongo, using GCash or online banking. Your payment is also subject to PayMongo's terms, and we do not receive or store your full e-wallet or bank details.
  • Paying by check. You may instead pay by check payable to PRI at least 3 days before the training. PRI issues an Official Receipt for every training payment.
  • Refunds for training payments. If we cannot schedule your training, or if you cancel at least 7 days before the scheduled training date, we refund your payment in full. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the training are not refundable, but we will work with you to move the training to another date. Refunds are made to the original payment method.
  • Changes on our side. If we need to move a scheduled training, for example because of a disaster, severe weather or another emergency, we will agree a new date with you or refund your payment in full.
  • Home training requests. Requests for our home first-aid training packages are inquiries until our team confirms them with you. Prices shown on the Site may change before they are confirmed.

11. Information You Submit

You are responsible for the information you send us. You confirm that it is accurate and that you have the right to share it, including any information about other people, such as an emergency contact or a parent or guardian. Please let those people know that you have shared their details with us.

You allow PRI to use what you submit to respond to you and to run our programs, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the contact form.

12. Intellectual Property

The Site, the App and their content, including text, graphics, photos, videos, logos, program names and the programming diagram, are owned by PRI or used with permission. They are protected by the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 8293) and other laws.

You may view, download and share pages for personal, non-commercial and informational purposes, as long as you keep any copyright notices and credit PRI. You may not copy, modify, sell or republish our content, or use our names or logos commercially or present them as your own, without our written permission.

Want to bring the Go Bike Project to your community? Contact us and we will help you do it properly.

13. Photos and Videos at Our Activities

By joining our public events, trainings and activities, you acknowledge that PRI may take photos and videos and use them in our communications, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to appear in our media, let the organizers know or email gobike@pydn.org.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site and App link to, or use, services run by others, such as social media, news websites, Google, PayPal and PayMongo. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

15. Disclaimers

The Site, App and GoBot are provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep information accurate and services running, but we do not guarantee that they will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses, or that all information is complete and up to date. Content on the Site is for general information only and is not professional advice.

Our response services depend on volunteer availability and local conditions, so we cannot guarantee that help will reach a particular place within a specific time. In an emergency, always contact 911 or your local emergency services first.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, PRI and its officers, volunteers and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, opportunity or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, App or GoBot.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PRI and its officers, volunteers and partners from any claims, losses, damages and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or App, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person.

18. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Site, App or our programs, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect our users, volunteers, the public or our systems.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, will continue to apply.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we cannot resolve it, the dispute shall be brought exclusively before the proper courts of the Province of Pangasinan, Philippines, without prejudice to any rights you have under consumer protection or data privacy laws.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version, and changes take effect when they are posted on the Site. If you keep using the Site or App after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.

21. General

  • If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • If we do not enforce a right, that does not mean we have waived it.
  • These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy and any separate written agreement for a specific engagement, are the entire agreement between you and PRI on their subject matter.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
